Sound Solar Systems is looking for a high energy sales representative who will play a central role in our continuing growth. This is a rapidly growing field with potential for attractive commissions that could grow substantially in the future.
Promote the advantages of solar systems as mature technology providing clean energy as well as significant cost savings. To drive growth and profitability of the company by designing each customer’s solar system to meet their specific needs. Keys to success are innovativeness in finding leads, a consultative sales approach, passion, confidence and persistence. The role will encompass commercial, non-profit, and municipal accounts, as well as residential.
Passion to make a difference
1-4 years’ sales experience
High energy level with good communication skills
Analytical and mathematical skills
Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel), Google Earth and SketchUp a plus
Car and valid driver’s licence
Finding and following up on leads, including cold calling and follow up on existing leads
Google Earth and physical site visits, may include going up on roof
Designing system and creating proposals using existing software program
Walking customer through entire process from contract signing to interconnection
Assisting in marketing efforts
Prior experience in the solar industry a plus, but not required, but experience and a proven track record in sales are important.
Junior Inside Sales Rep
This role will be responsible for finding qualified prospects for residential and small commercial solar PV and solar thermal systems.
In a goal focused environment, this will entail phone solicitations, some qualification using Google Earth and assisting with direct mail and follow up. There will likely be occasional manning of promotional booths, and attendance at community clean energy/energy reduction events. On occasion, this may require some travel to local neighborhoods to identify potential targets and qualify leads. The other side of this job will require assisting production manager in research of subcontractors, getting on bid lists and identifying quality partners.
Candidate will have the opportunity to get involved with the clean energy generation business and clean energy system design and installation, understand how sales fits together with design and project management to drive the company’s success, exposure to management, sales training and above all to be part of a dynamic team focused on identifying prospects, understanding their needs and as they become customers, impressing them with our installations so that referrals become natural. There is an opportunity for advancement into outside sales for the right candidates.
Candidate will report to the Head of Marketing and Sales Manager.

Compensation:$10/hour plus $100/prospect that signs a contract
